Charity Challenge, Monza Circuit
In an effort to raise funds for the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund, more than 80 drivers compete in a virtual race on the Monza Circuit using Assetto Corsa Competizione, the official game of SRO Motorsports Group. Among the participants are stars GT World Challenge stars like Miguel Molina, Daniel Juncadella and Denis Lind as well as sim racers like reigning F1 Esports Series champion David Tonizza.
Silverstone Circuit, United Kingdom
Launched to fill the motorsport entertainment void caused by COVID-19, the SRO E-Sport GT Series features real-world GT drivers taking on virtual versions of five iconic race tracks in Assetto Corsa Competizione, the official game of SRO Motorsports Group. The first event is staged at Silverstone, with the Pro (real-world drivers) and Silver Series (invited sim racers) competing separately.
Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium
The second round of the 2020 SRO E-Sport GT Series is staged at Spa-Francorchamps. As host of the marquee Total 24 Hours of Spa, the track is synonymous with GT racing. But this time, real-world drivers and sim racers take on a virtual version of this track in the Assetto Corsa Competizione simulation.
The Nurburgring with its iconic Nordschleife is known as one of the most challenging race tracks in the world. It’s virtual Assetto Corsa Competizione version is now the stage for the third race of the 2020 SRO E-Sport GT Series.
Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, Spain
The penultimate round of the SRO E-Sport GT Series takes place at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. The Spanish circuit is well known as the venue of the Spanish Grand Prix of Formula 1 and now SimRacers take on the track in the Assetto Corsa Competizione simulation.
Mount Panorama Circuit, Bathurst
It is time for the finale in the inaugural season of the SRO E-Sport GT Series. The last round will be an exciting event because the public will pick the final racetrack. On which course will the pilots compete for points?
